Replying to your Embassy's note No. 1103 of

December 30th, 1925, requesting information regarding the

seizure of 443 tins of opium on the Steamship EASTERN

PRINCE in New York on November 23, 1925, the receipt of

which note was acknowledged on January 12, 1926, I have

the honor to inform you that the report of the authorities

to whom your request was referred indicates that the tins are of uniform size and weight, being 4-1/2 inches by 2-1/2 inches by 1 inch, and weighing 8 ounces gross, with

a tare of 2 ounces for the container.

Two photographs of the labels used on the tins

are enclosed.
